Responsibilities
Analyze data related to insurance claims, policyholder demographics, and market trends to identify patterns and evaluate risk levels
Develop and maintain pricing models and methodologies to determine premiums for various insurance products
Collaborate with underwriters, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business objectives and incorporate them into pricing strategies.
Conduct profitability analysis and recommend adjustments to pricing structures as needed.
Monitor the performance of pricing strategies and make recommendations for enhancements or changes based on market conditions and company goals.
Stay updated on industry regulations, emerging trends, and advancements in actuarial science to ensure compliance and competitiveness
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.
Proven experience (typically 2-5 years) in actuarial roles, with a focus on pricing within the insurance industry.
Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to insurance pricing.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of actuarial science.
