POSITION
The Analyst is responsible for supporting government affairs and public policy projects in Indonesia,
across a variety of sectors and in a cross-cultural setting.
We expect the candidate to have proven capacity to support the delivery of projects to completion,
work with nimble teams and external specialists of varying levels of seniority and expertise and build
and sustain external coalitions. Experience in either the government or in the private sector working
with the government will be favorably considered.
We expect the candidate to be an adept analytical and critical thinker, with strong English and
Indonesia language writing skills. We expect the ability to synthesize complex information, identify core
issues, draw conclusions, and to translate this into action. Clearly communicating plans of action to
international professionals will be part of your daily work.
PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES
Research: Undertake policy research and drafting of analytical reports.
Strategic counsel: Develop recommendations on government and stakeholder engagement
to advance clients commercial objectives in Indonesia across various sectoral and policy issues.
Client management: Support communications and contact with senior executives from
multinational corporations across multiple projects.
Government relations: Liaise and coordinate with officials at government agencies on behalf
of clients.
Firm representation: Support V&Ps participation at external engagements, including business
missions, meetings, workshops, and conferences.
Business development: Supports proposal developments and meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
We prefer two to four years of relevant work experience in government affairs or public policy
role in a multi-national company, consulting firm, government ministry/agency, media, or think
tanks.

A relevant undergraduate degree, preferably in areas of political science, economics, public
policy, law, or international relations; a graduate degree is a value-add.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Indonesias political and policy dynamics.
Effective task and time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and work under
pressure.
Strong critical thinking skills and a quick learner.
Motivated self-starter, proactive, team player, eagerness to contribute to firms growth.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a must. Fluency in Indonesia
Language is required.
