Job Description

  • Create and execute strategic sales plans tailored to the specific needs of the area.
  • Identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies to meet sales targets and business objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry trends.
  • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
  • Address customer needs and resolve issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty
  • Oversee the implementation of sales campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities within the area.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management.
  • Ensure all sales activities and practices comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in pharmaceutical regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against set targets and KPIs.
  • Implement corrective actions and strategies to address performance gaps and drive improvements.

The Successful Applicant


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products and industry regulations.
  • Ability to analyse data and develop actionable insights.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic and competitive environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
