Position Overview:

The Business Development Representative - Mining is responsible for driving and developing sales strategies with regional personnel to achieve revenue and operational objectives. This role involves establishing and maintaining business development opportunities within Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Major Projects, and allocated Territory accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales management of the mining business
  • Develop a high-performing mining team
  • Build strong and valued customer relationships
  • Respond to customer requirements in a timely manner
  • Contribute to and exceed personal and regional sales targets
  • Weekly sales forecast reporting
  • Articulate a clear business strategy for the region
  • Plan and manage time to ensure business plan execution
  • Create and implement proactive lead generation activities
  • Demonstrate machine control products and systems to clients
  • Qualify customer product requirements
  • Maintain and account for demonstration and new stock

  • Proactive negotiation with clients within guidelines and authority levels
  • Expert knowledge of Machine Systems, Weighing, GPS, and Laser System Products
  • Comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and companies
  • Results-focused with strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, outgoing personality
  • Goal-oriented, outcome-focused, performance-driven
  • Ability to build and manage relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • High degree of professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Comfort with taking initiative and working independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong desire for personal learning and development
