Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join our Jakarta campus. The successful candidate will teach IGCSE and A Level Chemistry, providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their studies and prepare for higher education. This role requires a deep understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and a commitment to fostering a love for science in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the context of Chemistry.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in professional development activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the IGCSE and A Level in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and assessment standards.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching Chemistry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and collaborative environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- Postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDipEd, or equivalent).
