CLOUD ENGINEER I
This position will be a part of Cohesive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bentley Systems.
Position Summary:
The Cloud Engineer I monitors and supports the customer cloud environments assisting in the operation of highly available, robust, and scalable applications for our customers, using modern technologies. The Cloud Engineer I develops, tests, and implements infrastructures to build the foundation for successful customer cloud environments. It is their responsibility to take end-to-end ownership from operations to maintenance. As part a cross-functional agile team, the Cloud Engineers maintain an understanding of the latest technologies utilising this knowledge to creativity face the challenges of cloud environments and contribute to our company standards.
Your Day-to-Day / Responsibilities:
Design and architect infrastructure solutions that align with industry best practices and security standards
Develop detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational guidelines
Monitor daily operations of various cloud-based customer environments
Manage and process customer requests, incidents, problems and change requests for cloud-based customer environments
Manage and keep the configuration management database (CMDB) up to date, ensuring visibility of the various customer environments and services, including their status
Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security
Identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
Interact with clients, providing support, and making recommendations based on client needs.

Qualifications
Degree in Information and Communication Technology or similar education
Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate
Desirable: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Knowledge / Experience
2 to 4 years experience in cloud engineering or similar field
Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and IT Support processes
Experience with Infrastructure, storage, networking, and operating systems (Windows / Linux)
Specialised in cloud platforms e.g. Microsoft Azure
Experience with containerization (for example Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Red Hat OpenShift)
Experience with VMware, Citrix and PowerShell.
Knowledge of automation tools to monitor and manage cloud resources
Excellent programming, troubleshooting and analytical skills
Knowledge of and experience with methodologies and practices like DevOps, Agile, and/or Scrum
Experience in the application of standards and best practices
Good communication and collaboration skills
