Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
We are presently seeking a Cost Analyst that will work under our Asia Finance Operations Control Team, responsible in ensuring accurate costing, financial reporting, and budgeting processes
Key Responsibilities:
Costing:
Participate in Month-End Close and Material Management processes.
Ensure that costs reflected in the SAP System are valid and up-to-date.
Conduct periodic cycle counts and analyze any discrepancies.
Prepare and execute inventory reports for Management review.
Assist with data extraction, reconciliation, and ensure data integrity and accuracy for the annual standard cost roll-up.
Financial Management Reporting:
Contribute to the preparation of monthly actual management reports and 12-month forecasts.
Assist in data extraction, reconciliation, and maintaining data accuracy for the monthly financial deck.
Analyze financial data, including variance analysis commentary, and identify trends and growth opportunities.
Prepare and analyze cost center reports.
Perform analysis of Purchase Price Variances and Production Order Variances.
Conduct quarterly Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory reporting and analysis.
Financial Budgeting (Annual Operating Plan - AOP):
Assist in preparing the annual AOP to ensure timely and reliable budgeting.
Collaborate with stakeholders on Allocation Keys and their application in actuals.
Work closely with cost center owners and Heads of Departments (HODs) on AOP expenses and CAPEX, upload data into HFP, and provide analysis and commentary.
Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and local accounting standards.
Ensure timely closing and preparation of financial reports to meet deadlines and requirements.
Prepare general financial data requests from Operations.
Responsible to comply to applicable occupational heath, and safety management system
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting or Financial/Business Management.
Experiences in similar role min. 2 years.
Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
Experience in general financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability.
