Job Description

Cost Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts.
  • Identify variances between actual costs and budgeted amounts.
Provide regular updates and financial status reports to management.
  • Budget Management:
Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial plans.
  • Review and validate project budgets submitted by various departments.
Ensure budget adherence through regular monitoring and adjustments.
  • Cost Control Procedures:
Develop and implement cost control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze financial data and trends to support decision-making.
  • Prepare financial models and forecasts to predict future costs.
Report on cost performance and suggest corrective actions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with project managers to review project plans and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to negotiate pricing and contracts.
Communicate effectively with finance teams to reconcile budgets and expenses.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
  • Ensure that all cost control documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Prepare documentation for audits and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Other Requirements:

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
Willingness to continuously learn and improve skills.
