We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers, designing, developing, and optimizing our data architecture, pipelines, and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, and product teams, to ensure data availability, quality, and accessibility for business decision-making.
Work Arrangement
- Full-time position
- Hybrid work model (2 days per week in the office)
- Monday to Friday, 5-day work week (flexible work schedule)
- Eligible to reside and work in Bandung (Indonesian citizenship only)
Key Accountabilities
- Guide and support a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices in data engineering are followed, and mentor team members for skill development.
- Develop and maintain scalable data architectures, ensuring they meet business requirements and are optimized for performance.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring seamless data ingestion, transformation, and loading across various systems and platforms.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Work closely with data analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver on business objectives.
- Stay updated on emerging data technologies and recommend tools or platforms that will enhance data processes and efficiencies.
- Optimize and tune existing data processes, databases, and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce latency.
- Maintain thorough documentation of data architectures, processes, and workflows to support transparency and scalability.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or senior role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficient in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Strong experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend).
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proven track record of leadership, with experience mentoring and developing team members.
- Preferred: Experience with data governance and data security frameworks, as well as a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
