Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Digitalization Team. The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our databases. Key tasks include implementing and maintaining database backup and recovery strategies, performing index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning, and designing hardware architecture for servers.
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime.
- Perform index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning to ensure optimal performance.
- Design hardware architecture for servers to support database systems.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of database systems.
- Develop and implement database policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
- Conduct regular database capacity planning and performance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for database management.
Requirements
Education
- A four-year degree from a recognized university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of three years of experience in database management and administration.
Skills
- Proficient in database modeling.
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
- Understanding of Web Application Server (WAS) concepts and functionalities.
- Proficiency with DB tuning tools and techniques.
- Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
- Certification in SQL or OCA (Oracle Certified Association) is required.
- Experience with cloud database solutions.
- Knowledge of database security best practices.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes. o A minimum of three years of experience in database management and administration.
