Position: Deputy Environment Reclamation Manager
Location: PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park, North Maluku
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee reclamation programs to restore mined land in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Plan and implement reclamation activities, including soil stabilization, hydroseeding, and vegetation management.
- Monitor and report on the progress and success of reclamation efforts to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and local authorities to align reclamation activities with broader environmental goals.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and recommend improvements to reclamation processes.
- Manage nursery operations, including seed collection and preparation of planting materials for revegetation.
- Ensure all activities adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Agriculture, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of work experience preferably in land reclamation, rehabilitation, or environmental management, especially in the mining industry.
- Expertise in soil stabilization, hydroseeding techniques, and vegetation planning.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale reclamation projects and teams.
- Familiarity with local and national environmental regulations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
