Wolkk is seeking a PostgreSQL and Kubernetes Specialist to join our client's dynamic DevOps team. In this role, you will be directly responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our PostgreSQL database clusters and for designing, deploying, and managing on-premise Kubernetes clusters. You will collaborate closely with our international clients, bringing your expertise in PostgreSQL and Kubernetes to drive innovation and efficiency in our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- PostgreSQL Administration:
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including backup/restore, monitoring, replication, and disaster recovery.
- Kubernetes Management:
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premise Kubernetes clusters using Rancher RKE2, ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Automation & Scripting:
- Automate cluster operations, monitoring, and scaling using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and similar.
- CI/CD Integration:
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, or GitLab CI within Kubernetes environments.
- Linux Systems Administration:
- Administer Oracle Linux systems with a focus on environments supporting PostgreSQL and Kubernetes.
- Containerization & Orchestration:
- Utilize Docker for containerization and orchestration, ensuring efficient and secure deployments.
- Security & Networking:
- Design and implement secure and resilient Kubernetes clusters, managing networking aspects including CNI plugins, ingress controllers, and load balancing.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in PostgreSQL administration, including repmgr-based replication and knowledge of Patroni for high availability.
- Proven experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, particularly on-premise with Rancher RKE2.
- Strong background in scripting and automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with CI/CD tools in Kubernetes environments.
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration, particularly Oracle Linux.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL and Kubernetes with a proven track record.
- Familiarity with managing PostgreSQL in virtual private cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration.
