KEY TASKS
- This position reports to the Head of Operational Excellence and is responsible to drive Operational Excellence strategy for APAC PS organization, lead OE culture transformation and OE network setup in CH APAC. While doing that, this role needs to work together with APAC PS Lead Team which consists of site heads and regional functional heads as well another site OE leader.
- Build, implement, monitor, and improve OE Management System (PSS) including the OE strategy/objective development, guiding the APAC OE development and deployment in a sustainable fashion (including digital agenda)
- Define and lead the implementation of PS strategy in APAC to transform the organization by accelerating results such as Service Level to customers, Capacity Utilization, inventory level and Cost Savings to deliver industry top-class results and towards a lean end to end supply chain for enabling business growth target achievement
- Lead and coach Contract Manufacture Organization (CMO) function OE activities in order to achieve efficient CMO model from decision making to final deployment. Reduce CMO management cost and product cost by process optimization and partnership build-up with contract manufacturers
- Support sites to sustainably achieve their targets (including financial targets) and to realize improvement potential based on benchmarking results (e.g., POBOS)
- Lead establishment of OE ownership at APAC network
- Challenge and enable sites to execute agreed OE initiatives and to create new initiatives
- Be responsible for ongoing projects within APAC to generate value and roll-out to all other sites to double the value generation.
- Lead development of in-house OE expertise (e.g., establish and conduct OE trainings, in-house and implementation of OE initiatives in APAC Execute deep-dive on-the-floor consulting sessions with site leadership to update site business & pillar plan.
- Lead and coach CH sites OE projects in order to set up efficient manufacturing process with low cost by eliminating all wastes, reducing deviations and variations. Arrange cross-function value stream optimization to break silos and gain holistic optimization for all sites.
- Deliver Operation Excellence Phase Progression with systemic capability improvement (Work processes, Tools, Skills) in the sites by executing PSS assessments
- Lead collection and reporting of OE KPIs in APAC
- Additionally, this position supports Head of APAC PS Regional Head in utilization of OE strategy and deployment initiatives (external/internal benchmarks)
Skills & Qualifications
- Masters or equivalent degree in Engineering, Science and/or Business discipline
- Long-term experience: Several >7 years experience in OTC, pharmaceutical or FMCG industry (manufacturing, packaging or operations) as well as other related work experiences e.g. in consultancy or operational excellence function (line function, projects)
- Very good understanding of chemical and pharmaceutical processes and GMP requirements
- Significant and proven experience in the implementation of operational excellence programs/projects as well as qualification as e.g., lean expert (m/f/d), Six Sigma Green, Black or Master Black Belt or similar qualification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in serving as a strategic partner (m/f/d) to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts
- Very good interpersonal, intercultural, and communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with sites and project teams and to foster open dialogue
