We are now seeking a position as a Director of Distribution and Marketing for our client from the Entertainment Providers industry.
This role will have the following key responsibilities:
- Lead the distribution and marketing of a wide variety of high profile and specialized films through sales and marketing techniques and strategies to maximize net revenues
- Evaluate potential of each film in relation to local market and determine revenue and margin estimates
- Manage development and implementation of cost-efficient advertising, promotional and publicity campaigns and ensure each film is successfully launched in the most professional and cost-effective manner, in line with approved budget spend
- Ensure cohesive approach to the planning of distribution and marketing activities
- Monitor exhibitor loyalty, promotional and subscription schemes to measure impact of same on rental revenues. Negotiate arrangements with exhibitors to safeguard erosion of revenues where required
- Negotiate with exhibitors to maximize number of weeks films are retained on screens
- Deliver timely and regular reporting and commentary on film release results, including updated revenue and cost forecasts and analyses on variances to budget
- Identify, collect and analyze appropriate customer, competitor, market and economic data
- Preserve an open and communicative relationship with exhibitors and vendors at all times, ensuring complete transparency in all business relationships
We expect prospective talents to meet the requirements as below:
- 8+ years commercial experience, including 5 years at Director level or equivalent
- Background and experience in entertainment providers preferred
- University degree preferred
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
- Successful track record in sales and marketing
- Excellent team leader and motivator with ability to build and enhance staff morale
- Proactive and self-motivated professional with result driven nature
- Able to work successfully in a highly charged and demanding environment
- Strong negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with exhibitors
- Experience and comfortable working in corporate structure and an international environment
