Our client is the world's premier organization for holiday membership and ownership with high-end resorts at various destinations around the globe. You will be responsible for Indonesia Sales Centers and South-East Asia Call Center, headquartered in Bali, Indonesia.
As a Director of Finance, you are a proactive and trusted business leader who provides financial expertise and leads the delivery of financial analysis and reports that enable the sales and marketing team to make timely and informed business decisions, optimize business value, and manage financial risk.
Objectives:
a. You will have to fulfil core financial analysis roles, i.e., Planning and Analysis, Business Partner Relations, Commissions, Talent Management, and Internal Controls. In the fulfilment of these roles, the Director of Finance delivers financial and performance analysis that facilitates effective strategic and tactical decisions that drive profitable growth or decline strategies, and business performance, and better manage business complexity. As a result, the Director of Finance ensures coordination and communication with Sites/Regional/Corporate Business Partners, Field Accounting & Finance, Tax, and corporate-based Financial Planning and Analysis groups as appropriate.
b. You will have to oversee site adherence to and the continuous improvement of accounting and financial analysis processes, practices, and procedures by ensuring compliance with SOX and company policies, e.g., MVW-P66 and Sarbanes Oxley. Additionally, the delivery of site-based financial and business performance analysis, reporting of cash flow modelling and financial statements, e.g. profit and loss statements, balance sheet statements, forecasts, budgets, strategic plan projections, return on invested capital optimization, asset disposition and restructuring.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. CPA or Chartered Accountant is a plus.
- 10+ years of related work experience in Finance and Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive managerial experience in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in commercial finance.
- Experience with Multi-National Corporations preferred.
- Local statutory knowledge.
- Commercial experience, gained in a commercial finance and business partnering capacity is mandatory.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to oversee financial teams and collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
- Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, as well as proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders, senior management, and external partners.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
- Strategic thinking and analytical capabilities to contribute to decision-making processes and identify opportunities for improving financial performance.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business environments and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures proper and timely financial management, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning of all business units.
- Establishes reporting tools and metrics to consistently measure and evaluate performance in collaboration with regional teams.
- Supports Marketing & Sales Finance, with leading the cluster in continuous improvement of finance practices and procedures.
- Provides support and training to enable exemplary performance in a cross-functional environment.
People Management
- Works to enhance the organization's capabilities through effective staffing and development of the Finance team.
- Leads and provides direction, coaching, and guidance to associates.
- Actively support the development and training of associates.
Sales & Marketing Support
- Develops strong knowledge of key business factors and works with the business leaders to drive cost-effective Marketing.
- Leads the preparation of strategic plans/long-range plans, budgets, and forecasts for all business units.
- Responds to, solves, and makes decisions on business requests that have broader department impact and/or moderate risk.
- Presents alternative solutions to business issues by leveraging the broader organization.
- Monitors and controls project budgets, commitments, and final costs.
- Prepares pro forma economic performance models and forecasts.
- Manages new site start-up: Pre-opening assessment, operational setup, and recruitment.
- Reviews and analyzes current strategies, program costs, and commissions.
- Forwards recommendations to Project Directors for implementation.
- Manages special projects as directed by the business needs.
Department Management
- Identifies, develops and implements improvement to operating plans and workable business processes for Indonesia and Southeast Asia Call Centers in alignment with function strategy.
- Manages larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring, and reporting on the process, progress, and results. Typically influences the work of cross-functional or extended teams.
- Assists F&A associates in achieving business results.
- Works with others to identify and remove barriers to success.
- Obtains a thorough understanding of the accounting system to maximize the quality of management reporting.
- Ensures adequate balance sheet reconciliations each operating period.
- Documents operational processes and maintains a strong environment of internal controls.
