Our client, a luxury beach resort located in the cosmopolitan hub of Bali island that attracts guests seeking both excitement and relaxation, is actively seeking a dynamic and talented Director of Finance.
As a Director of Finance, you will establish the annual budget preparation procedures and guidelines. You are also responsible for preparing, in conjunction with the General Manager and other department heads, the annual budget, capital budgets and the rolling forecast.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Significant experience in a finance director level within a luxury hotel, or similar equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proven knowledge and experience of hotel accounting and purchasing procedures.
- Demonstrated experience working for five-star resorts or international hospitality chains.
- Proven knowledge of current IT systems.
- Proven and strong leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Overall management and responsibility for Finance, IT and Purchasing departments, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to protect the company's assets and that all practices are in complete compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Participate and become an active member of the Planning Committee.
- Develop, implement and maintain all Finance, IT and Purchasing Policies and Procedures for the Hotel Management, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation.
- Oversee the development of all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Oversee the IT department, ensuring that all data is protected in accordance with international Data Protection Standards.
- Oversee the management of Purchasing, ensuring that all purchases are in line with company policy.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting, including effective internal accounting controls.
- Provide financial advisory services to operational managers.
- Ensure all finance and tax legislation is adhered to at all times.
- Safeguard all assets and financial resources, ensuring all assets are used to maximize hotel profitability.
- Responsible for monitoring, controlling and recording all sales, purchases, salaries, expenses, capital programs and operational statistics.
- Prepare a comprehensive monthly report of the financial results for the Hotel Management in established formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepare weekly forecasts and annual operational and capital budgets. Report on any variances.
- Conduct periodic detailed internal audits of all properties.
- Prepare written comprehensive action plans to correct any deficiencies.
