About the role:
The Director of Food and Beverage forms part of the Resort's Leadership Team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Resort. The Director of Food & Beverage leads the Food & Beverage Operation which includes restaurants, bars, banqueting, room service and beach club. The primary responsibilities for this position are to ensure our guests receive the highest level of food quality and service, manage and develop a team, devise and monitor an annual budget, manage labor control and operating expenses and develop relationships with key suppliers and industry associates, which result in the long-range continued growth and profitability of the division and Resort.
We are looking for individuals who have strong leadership and able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation, and can evidence having a solid work ethic, good business acumen, a passion for service and people-management skills. A creative mind with a passion to be ahead of trends is essential. This position requires a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and be visible in the operation during key events and operational needs. Some travels may be required.
What you bring:
College degree, preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or business administration, or equivalent experience is required.
Well established Director of Food & Beverage.
A minimum of 2 to 3 years luxury resort experience preferred.
Creative and enthusiastic in exploring new products and services.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
High attention to detail, strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Experience in managing budgets, labor, operating expenses, and food costs.
Highly self-motivated, result oriented and a can-do approach to any task.
