Document Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the project documentation process. This includes ensuring that all documents are properly stored, managed, and distributed in a timely and efficient manner. The role is critical for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain document control systems
- Track and manage document versions and updates
Supervise document review and approval processes- Ensure compliance with document management policies
Communicate with team members and stakeholders
- Monitor and archive all incoming and outgoing documents (physical and digital, including CAD)
Manage project document systems and archives- Assist site manager with project schedule monitoring
Archive documents in compliance with records, updating as needed
- Manage folder structure and backup for project teams
Ensure document clarity and compliance on platforms (e.g., Google Workspace)- Develop dashboards for reporting and process monitoring
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field- 5+ years in a document management role in construction
Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Will be an advantage to have- Control and monitor total project expenditure, verifying invoices and claims
Collaborate with production and procurement to optimize inventory and reduce costs
- Perform project cost reporting using ERP/SAP systems to ensure budget adherence
- Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Certification in Records Management (CRM) or Document Management (CDIA+)
Experience with document management software- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for document control
