Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

The Electrical Supervisor will oversee and engage in the installation, testing, maintenance, repair, and calibration of both low (LV) and high voltage (HV) electrical systems, including HVAC units. This role involves serving as the Onshore Responsible Electrical Person (REP) and isolation authority for LV and HV electrical isolations. The supervisor will develop and review troubleshooting plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity, adhering to schedules and maintaining accurate technical documentation. All activities must comply with the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Manage personnel performing electrical and HVAC tasks within the Maintenance department, ensuring work packs are accurately scoped and planned.
Ensure all electrical work adheres to hazardous area classification standards.
Conduct level-2 risk assessments (Job Safety Analysis) and participate in level-1 task risk assessments.
Ensure all plant activities follow the company's safety policies and procedures, and verify staff qualifications and authorizations.
Review and verify incoming electrical work requests, including assessing man-hours, skill levels, materials, equipment, and criticality.
Oversee the preventive maintenance program, scheduling, and resource allocation for technicians.
Monitor the progress of electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), offering guidance and arranging for equipment testing and inspections.
Provide end-of-shift reports and updates to the Maintenance Superintendent, discussing any issues or delays.
Assist in developing proposals for new electrical systems or modifications.
Plan, supervise, and execute large maintenance tasks, including plant turnarounds and shutdowns, and assist in developing work plans and testing overhauled equipment.
Assume responsibilities of Maintenance Superintendent in their absence, including representing them in meetings.
Update daily maintenance reports and discuss issues with Maintenance Superintendents, maintaining good working relationships.
Requirements:
Diploma or apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 8-10 years of electrical work experience in the oil and gas industry, including 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Ability to develop and implement high, medium, and low voltage switching plans
Competency in hazardous area classification and electrical equipment standards (NFPA, NEC, NEMA, ATEX, IEC)
Strong knowledge of international standards for ignition control and electrical safety
Valid UAE driving license
