UCT is looking for a talented
MES Engineer II to join us in
Malaysia!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) through the System Integrator (SI) team and to integrate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Factory
- Automation, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), etc. This includes timeline planning, risk management, internal stake holders and external vendor technical deliverables alignment
- Architecting, implementing, and integrating solutions focused around tracking, analyzing, and improving the manufacturing process
- Designing and implementing data management strategies for the integration of MES solutions with the ERP system and factory automation equipment and solutions
- Conceptualizing solutions during the design phase and optimizing during pilot phase of the project life cycle
- Manufacturing execution system configuration, programming, debugging, and testing
- Creating documentation, including project engineering notes, project proposals, project design traceability documentation, training, case studies, and more
- Commissioning innovative solutions for our multi-site/manufacturing operations; finding, sharing and capitalizing on opportunities for improvement
- Creating methodologies and performing complex problem-solving
- Learning new technologies
- Mentoring colleagues on your expertise and knowledge base
- Understanding the manufacturing workflow and collaborating with business owners to identify areas where MES could enable automations/ improvements plans within the manufacturing facilities
- Understanding data integrity and Computer System Validation compliance regulations. This will help in applying them in process discussions and improvement opportunities
- Manage individual project deliverables and schedules and routinely report progress
- Conducting training to the functions on the newly deployed MES solutions
- Ensure all sites manufacturing processes were standardized from MES deployment point of view
- Challenge the status quo from world class industry standard perspective
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Successful completion of B.Sc. Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology degree
Experience Requirement:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience primarily in MES, and supported Automation, I4.0, and the Technologies used in the previous section
- Familiarity with industry standards, such as ANSI/ISA-95
- Exposure to latest and emerging technology to turn the traditional factory to Smart Factory.
- Turn conceptual ideas into realization
- Able to generate turn-key ideas into the manufacturing solutions
- Exposure to semiconductor industry equipment manufacturing preferred
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Possesses drive with can-do attitude
- Capable of developing positive work relationship, a favourable work environment within the team and other functional group
- Must able to perform and demonstrate good workmanship understanding according to industrial standard
- Ability to self-direct on projects and tasks and the ability to manage cross-functional team
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skill
- Able to perform any other task assigned by manager / supervisor
- Comply to work ethics and integrity
- Candidate with Six Sigma Knowledge is a plus.
