Jitera, inc. is a startup company from Japan that makes software to automate the development of mobile and web applications. Our product can be called a No-Code, Low-Code, and AI agent. Its being powered by Generative AI, and by using our product, we can develop software much faster.
Its under development with lots of challenges, but the number of applications developed with our product is increasing. In fact, there is a case where a mobile application was developed about 10 times faster than usual.
As the characteristics of our company, we are a team of professionals working remotely, and we have a track record of significant growth over the past years in terms of revenue, product development, and team members.
Job Overview
As our business expands, we are broadening our engineering team to implement projects using JITERA products. We're seeking a skilled Engineering Manager who can not only implement client projects but also provide substantial feedback to enhance our products. Experiencing numerous projects is crucial for understanding the necessary architectures, features, and business processes in our automation systems. You can expect to;
- Be both highly technical and an effective people manager.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team in the Solutions Department, setting clear objectives and fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
- Collaborate closely with teams to understand their needs and challenges, translating these into actionable engineering solutions.
- Develop the technical strategy and roadmap for the Solutions Department, incorporating the newest technologies and methodologies to improve solution quality and delivery.
- Oversee the solution development lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet our high standards.
- Regularly assess individual engineer performance metrics to promptly identify areas of improvement or concern.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, motivating the team to innovate and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Manage resources effectively, including budgeting and allocation, to maximize efficiency and results.
Requirements
- Proven experience in recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an engineering management role, ideally within a solutions-focused environment.
- A strategic thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving and a data-driven decision-making style.
- 7+ years of coding experience in one of the following languages: TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, NestJs, ReactJs (Ruby on Rails is a plus).
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on technical management, building comprehensive web-based software solutions, API design, and managing server-client interactions.
- Solid understanding of fundamental design patterns in software design.
- Effective communication skills for cooperative work in a remote team.
- Business-level English skills (speaking, listening, writing, reading).
- Must be permanently based in the SEA/APAC Region, with the legal right to work in the area.
