Ensuring that all safety procedures are in place and followed by workers- Coordinating with engineers or other supervisors to set priorities for projects and ensuring that they are met
Reviewing project proposals to determine feasibility, scope, cost estimates, and time lines
- Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback to help them improve their skills
Monitoring the work of engineers to ensure that they are adhering to plans and specifications- Monitoring employees attendance, on-the-job performance and productivity
Recommending new technologies for use in projects based on cost, safety, efficiency, and other considerations
- Reviewing blueprints and other design documents to ensure that they meet department standards for safety and quality
* Training and supervising workers on construction sites, including architects, engineers, laborers, welders, and crane operators
