Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified English Teacher to teach English as a First Language at the IGCSE and A Level. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language and experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum. This role involves helping students develop advanced language skills, critical thinking abilities, and a deep appreciation for literature and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that align with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum for English as a First Language.
- Foster a love of literature and language while developing students reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
- Utilize varied teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and participate in professional development activities.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in English, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching English at the IGCSE and A Level in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum and assessment criteria.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for teaching English.
- Effective classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adaptability in a multicultural environment.
