The ESG Manager is a strategic role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing ESG initiatives within PT ModernLand. The ESG Manager will work to align business practices with sustainable principles while ensuring transparency, compliance, and positive social impact. The ESG Manager will work closely with leadership to develop and implement ESG policies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and industry standards.
Role
We seek a dedicated and experienced ESG Manager to join our team and serve as a key support to PT ModernLand's senior management in integrating environmental, social, and governance considerations into business strategies. The ESG Manager will be responsible for evaluating and improving PT ModernLand's performance in environmental, social, and governance functions.
Main Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive E&S assessments and identifying key sustainability risks, opportunities, and performance indicators.
- Developing and implementing ESG strategies, policies, and frameworks that align with the organization's values and goals.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business strategies and across various business functions, including operations, supply chain, human resources, and finance.
- Analyzing and interpreting data related to ESG factors and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reporting on ESG performance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- Supporting the preparation of ESG reports for regulatory compliance and public disclosure.
- Participating in stakeholder engagement activities and addressing inquiries related to ESG practices.
- Contributing to the development and communication of ESG policies and initiatives.
- Engaging with internal and external partners to stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes related to ESG.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience working on E&S risk management, with a strong preference for experience in the private sector working in real estate development.
- Experience working on E&S policies and standards, including those of the World Bank Group, and familiarity with the IFC Sustainability Framework and Performance Standards is an advantage.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of ESG reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD), relevant regulations, and reporting methodologies and experience in preparing sustainability reports.
- Strong knowledge of ESG regulations and standards in Indonesia (e.g., AMDAL).
- Experience conducting ESG assessments (e.g., climate risk and biodiversity risk analysis), analyzing data, and identifying material issues.
- Ability to develop and implement ESG strategies, policies, and frameworks tailored to PT Modernland's objectives and industry (real estate).
- Proficient in project management, data analysis, and utilizing ESG-related software tools.
- Your excellent communication and presentation skills and excel in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passionate about ESG issues and committed to making a difference both within our company and with the wider community.
- Professional certifications related to accounting, sustainability, and ESG (e.g., ISCA/ICAEW/ACCA/CPA, CFA, CSR-P) and a strong grasp over key ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., ISSB, TCFD, TNFD, GRI, CDP, SASB) are advantageous.
- Knowledge in sustainability guidelines such as POJK, GRI, IFRS Sustainability Disclosures, TCFD, UN Global Compact, or ISO 26000/14001 would be an advantage.
