Fashion Technical Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Garment Tech Pack Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will communicate with clients of their requirement, create precise tech packs, manage designs, sampling and production timelines, coordinating, participate in design projects.

This roles requires a deep understanding of garment construction, materials, and manufacturing processes with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for tasks like apparel design, packaging design and presentation decks.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop detailed tech packs with technical drawings, construction details, and specifications.

* Collaborate with clients, designers, product developers, and manufacturers.

* Document garment measurements, grading, fabric types, trims, and embellishments.

* Update tech packs throughout the development and production process.

* Conduct fittings with clients and evaluate samples to ensure quality standards.

* Ensure all tech packs meet client requirements and quality standards.

* Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.

* Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and garment technology advancements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Fluent in written and spoken English is a must.

* Bachelors degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Science, or related field.

* 3-5 years of experience in garment tech pack design or similar role.

* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.

* Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and grading.

* Experience with various materials including knit, woven, and printed fabrics.

* Excellent attention to detail and technical drawing skills.

* Ability to meet deadlines and solve problems effectively.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills.

* Knowledge of current fashion trends and garment production processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with overseas manufacturers.

* Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.

* Experience in various garment categories.
