Responsibilities
Lead Accounting and Tax is responsible for overseeing all accounting and tax-related functions within the organization. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and effective audit management. The successful candidate will maintain robust accounting systems, lead the preparation of financial statements, and uphold the integrity of financial data.
Job Responsibilities
- General Accounting: Maintain and record manual journal entries, including depreciation and other necessary adjustments and ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual books.
- Balance Sheet Accounts Review: Conduct regular inventory reconciliation to ensure accuracy of stock records and perform Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) aging analysis and reconciliation.
- Taxation: Liaise with external tax consultants to ensure compliance, review and validate tax documents to ensuring accuracy and completeness and maintain proper documentation
- Financial Statements and Consolidation Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (FS), ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Audit Management: Act as the primary point of contact (PIC) for all audit requests and provide necessary documentation and information to auditors.
- System Policy and Procedure: Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to accounting and tax processes.
- ERP Management: Oversee data and access governance, particularly for ERP systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working as an auditor from accounting firms, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and tax compliance.
- Experience in audit management and ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
