Finance interns working under the controllership team will be getting hands-on experience, by working under a finance manager, in areas such as monthly financial reporting and analysis, business partnering and statutory audits. You can practically apply his/her theoretical knowledge of accounting standards in your day to day work.
You may also be required to support ad-hoc projects such as coordinating regional projects to drive workflow improvements/ automation, strengthen internal controls and/or enhance efficiency.
Your Adventure Ahead
A finance intern is usually involve in:
issuing and sending invoices and the supporting documents to customers
checking the consistency of data between invoices and tax invoices (faktur pajak)
following up with customers on overdue receivables
requesting withholding tax slips (bukti potong pajak) from customers
updating daily bank cash flow
preparing cashout
reviewing vendor invoices and employee claims for weekly vendor payment
reviewing withholding tax slips (bukti potong pajak) details and sending to vendors
Essentials To Succeed
Having an understanding of accounting and/ or business management
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different teams
A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail
Independently diagnose and identify data quality issues and work with other teams to find solutions
Proficient in Excel, including preferably experience in SQL and accounting system (e.g. Netsuite)
