The General Manager - Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in driving financial performance and strategic initiatives across the organization. This role requires close collaboration with business teams, brand Heads of Department (HODs), Vice Presidents (VPs), and key management to ensure alignment with financial and commercial goals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial principles and business controls, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights to influence business decisions
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business teams to analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide strategic financial guidance and direction to drive profitability and growth.
Develop and present financial reports to Brand HODs/VPs and key management, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
Oversee and monitor key projects aimed at boosting business performance, ensuring financial discipline and alignment with strategic objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning, execution, and evaluation.
Support the CFO in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, including long-term financial planning, investment analysis, and capital allocation. o Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and transformation efforts.
Act as a key liaison between the Finance department and other business units, fostering strong relationships with Brand HODs/VPs and internal teams.
Facilitate effective communication of financial goals, strategies, and performance across the organization.
Ensure robust financial controls are in place, identifying and mitigating risks to protect the company's financial integrity.
Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to maintain high standards of compliance and business control. Key Competencies:
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in finance, with a focus on business partnering and financial analysis.
Candidate from Big4 audit firm working on advisory and business transaction role can be also good fit
Proven experience working in a retail environment or similar industry.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Experience in project management and strategic planning is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
