Responsibilities
Position Overview
The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in providing financial support and insights to the business, with a primary focus on P&L management. This position will partner closely with various functions, including brand marketing team, supply chain, offline sales, ecommerce channel, and product development team.
Key Responsibilities
- P&L Management: Own and manage the company's P&L to ensure alignment with financial goals, providing actionable insights to the leadership team for improved business performance.
- Category Finance: Work closely with category managers to monitor financial performance, assess profitability, and ensure budget alignment across product categories (skincare, nutrition, books and edu tools).
- NPD Finance: Collaborate with the NPD (new product development) team to evaluate the financial viability of new product initiatives, including cost modeling, pricing strategies, and investment analysis.
- Marketing Finance: Partner with the brand marketing team to track and optimize marketing spend, ensuring campaigns and promotions deliver a positive return on investment (ROI) and support overall business objectives.
- Sales Finance: Support the sales team in forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing sales performance, with a focus on margin optimization and sales strategy effectiveness.
- Supply Chain Finance: Provide financial insights and support in supply chain management, including cost analysis, inventory management, and logistics optimization.
- Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability, ensuring alignment with market trends and consumer demand.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular financial reports and performance analysis for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Business Case Development: Develop financial models and business cases to support key business decisions, including investment proposals, capital expenditures, and expansion initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting practices, ensuring greater efficiency and accuracy in financial management.
Requirements
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with significant exposure to P&L management and business partnering. Experience in Category Finance, Marketing Finance, Sales Finance, or Supply Chain Finance in a consumer goods or FMCG environment is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of P&L management, pricing strategies, and financial modeling.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making across various teams.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, data analysis) and financial systems (ERP).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
