Summary
· To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other departments/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.
· Deliver uncompromised attention to in house guests/visitors/members in a timely, courteous and efficient manner.
· Provide information and instruction to guests/visitors/members inquiries in regards to the operation of fitness and swimming pool equipment, exercise classes, and fitness personal training session and create individual exercise program.
· Selling and up selling Spa treatment, retail, Membership.
· Providing information to any inquiries and helps to coordinate all guests requests for services.
· To assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the Gym, swimming pool, male locker, relaxation, lounge area.
· To report to work punctually 15 minutes before your shift in proper uniform (Ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming).
· Follow The Park Hyatt Jakarta grooming standards.
· To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following The Park Hyatt Jakarta Standards of Performance, Policy and Procedure.
· To perform all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work to the standard set. Please note that Master Task Lists are reviewed and changed on a regular bases reflecting change in trends, guest expectations and operating philosophies.
· To be entirely flexible and adept to rotate within the different sub departments of the Spa or any other Department of the hotel as assigned (willing to become multi skilled and perform multi tasks).
· To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
· Maintain complete knowledge of:
- All hotel feature/service, hours of operation
- All Spa & Gym service and product
- Schedule daily individual and group activities
- All professional and retail product line and treatment product needs
· To perform opening and closing procedure establish for Gym, swimming pool, relaxation, lounge, male locker, storage as assign.
· To make sure that The Gym, swimming pool, relaxation, lounge, male locker, storage and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
· To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
· Understanding that his/her primary role is to be of service to the guests and guests needs and safety come first.
· Be on time for PT appointments.
· Keep work area clean and neat at all times.
· The ability to courteously interact and answer all facility related questions with members and guests.
· Ensure being up to date with current trends in Gym industry.
· Serve as catalyst to promote Gym services to members and hotel guests.
· Maintain current professional licenses as appropriate.
· Monitor status of all Gym equipment and notify Spa Team Leader, Spa Manager if they are any maintenance or repair needs.
· Promptly record equipment issues in the log book and follow up with department concern and notify team leaders for further follow up.
· To comply with local legislation a required.
· To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
· Assist in the operations of all Spa departments as required:
o Spa, spa reception, lounge, relaxation area, locker.
· Able to teach a variety classes at all ability level to guests in accordance with the weekly classes (gym and aqua-exercise) schedule.
· Responsible for the day to day operation, maintenance, cleanliness and safety in the Aerobics Studio and Gymnasium.
· Ensures that proper attire is worn in the Aerobics Studio at all times.
· Maintains close contact with guests and receives feedback from them regarding the operation of the Aerobics Studio and Gymnasium.
· Has a basic understanding of diet/nutrition as they relate to health.
· Assists in any other duties that are required from time to time to ensure the smooth operation of the Spa
· Helps to plans, promote and participate in the activities and special events organized through the Recreation Department.
· Handle and assist the guests in Gym when using the equipment in a controlled and save way.
· Ensure that there is sufficient of stock of towels or water supply required for exercising in the gym and swimming pool.
· Regularly check all laundry supplies and the standards of the laundered items. Record details of anything needing improvement and notify the Spa Team Leader, Spa Manager as appropriate.
· Is present in the Gymnasium ensuring safety of guests at all times.
· Cleans the equipment in the Aerobics Studio and Gymnasium after each guest used.
· Covers at the swimming pool, male locker, relaxation, lounge area as needed.
· To have a complete understanding and strictly adhering to rules and regulations established in the Collective Labor Agreement, Employee Handbook and the hotels policies concerning Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety and Emergency situation.
· Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
· Exercise responsible management and behavior at all times and positively representing the hotel and Hyatt International.
Qualifications
Indonesian Nationality with a degree in Hospitality or any related field
Has minimum 1 (One) year experience in a similar position in 5 (five) stars International Hotel Chain
Previous experience in Luxury Hotel or international experience are advantages
Strong in leadership and business acumen
Excellent English communication skills, strong guest service mindset and people management & development skills
