PT. Pelayaran Ganesha Lautjaya, a leading coal shipping company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager of Shipping Operations to lead our operations, maintenance, and finance functions. This is a pivotal role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to ensure the smooth running and growth of our coal shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize coal shipping operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to industry standards.
- Lead the maintenance teams to ensure vessels transporting coal are in optimal condition and meet safety regulations.
- Manage financial operations related to coal logistics, including budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve operational performance and expand coal shipping capabilities.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of coal.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for the operations team.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime and environmental regulations, particularly for coal shipping.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior operations management role, preferably within coal shipping or bulk cargo logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of shipping operations, maintenance, and financial management related to coal transportation.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with experience in driving both operational efficiency and long-term strategic goals.
- Thorough understanding of maritime regulations and compliance, especially in coal shipping.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree or additional certifications in logistics, maritime management, or supply chain is a plus.
