About the Role
As the Head of Ecommerce for APAC, you will spearhead the strategic and operational growth of our ecommerce business across the APAC region. You will drive online sales performance, ensure seamless customer experiences, and establish the brand as a market leader in the online beauty space. This role combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
Ecommerce Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement the regional ecommerce strategy aligned with global goals, focusing on revenue growth and market penetration.
- Oversee the launch and optimization of ecommerce platforms, ensuring high performance and customer engagement.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for expansion in emerging and established markets within APAC.
Sales Performance:
- Set and achieve annual revenue and profitability targets for the ecommerce channel.
- Analyze sales data, customer trends, and market insights to refine strategies and boost performance.
- Monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value to drive continuous improvement.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure a seamless, localized shopping experience across all ecommerce platforms in the region.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize website functionality and usability.
- Drive personalized and engaging customer journeys using data-driven insights.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional ecommerce team.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, logistics, IT, and customer service) to ensure alignment and success in execution.
- Act as a key liaison between regional and global ecommerce teams to ensure consistency in messaging and practices.
Digital Marketing & Partnerships:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to drive traffic and sales through paid media, SEO, email campaigns, and influencer partnerships.
- Build and manage relationships with key online retailers, marketplaces, and third-party platforms.
- Leverage social commerce and emerging digital trends to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee supply chain and fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery and a superior customer experience.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges in collaboration with IT and logistics teams.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning for ecommerce activities in the region.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in ecommerce, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multi-country operations, preferably in the beauty or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of scaling ecommerce businesses and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong knowledge of the APAC market, including consumer behavior, regulatory requirements, and ecommerce platforms.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working in a matrix organization.
