Job Description Summary:
The Head of the Education Department is responsible for ensuring that the educational programs implemented by the foundation provide maximum benefits to the program beneficiaries (scholarship recipients, assisted school administrators, teachers, and involved students) and support the foundation's social goals.
Job Description:
Educational Program Planning and Development:
- Develop strategies and plans for the education department aligned with the foundation's vision and mission. This includes determining programs, objectives, required resources, and operational plans for program implementation.
Program Management:
- Oversee the implementation of educational programs, including coordinating with the team and managing activity schedules. Ensure all educational department activities are carried out effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with organizational policies and applicable operational standards.
Budget Preparation:
- Manage budgets for educational programs, including expenditure planning, and ensure funds are utilized transparently, efficiently, and effectively in line with the foundation's policies.
Coordination and Partnerships:
- Collaborate with Sinar Mas business pillars, other educational institutions, government bodies, and related organizations to expand the program's reach and strengthen partnerships supporting the Education Department's goals.
Resource Development:
- Identify and develop resources needed for educational programs. Lead, direct, and motivate teams involved in the programs, including task delegation, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor the effectiveness of programs by collecting data, evaluating program outcomes, and making adjustments based on feedback and evaluation results.
Advocacy and Socialization:
- Provide input to Sinar Mas business pillars regarding the management of educational institutions at various levels (from early childhood education to higher education).
Reporting and Documentation:
- Create and review all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the Education Department's activities. Prepare progress and program outcome reports for internal stakeholders, donors, and other relevant parties.
Innovation and Improvement:
- Seek new and innovative ways to enhance the quality of education and the impact of programs, including the application of new technologies and modern teaching methodologies.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Master Degree in any major from reputable University.
- Have 10-15 years related experience in education.
- Preferably Experienced in Managing or Leading Educational Institutions or Foundations in the Field of Education.
- Has a Passion for Education.

- Good Leadership and Decisive Decision-Making Skills.
- Good Communication and Negotiation Skills.
