Head of Internal Audit

Job Description:

Developing and implementing the internal audit strategy, policies, and procedures for the Group.

Identifying and assessing the key risks faced by the organization.

Developing the annual audit plan and carrying out the internal audit projects identified in the plan in a quality and timely manner.

Conduct internal audits using established audit plans and methodologies.

Identifying control deficiencies, non-compliance with policies and procedures, and other areas of concern during the audit process.

Prepare and present audit reports to senior management, the audit committee, and other relevant stakeholders.

Collaborating with various stakeholders, including senior management, business unit leaders, and external auditors, to ensure effective communication and coordination of audit activities.

Monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and tracking their progress.

Leading and managing a team of internal auditors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the effective execution of audit engagements.

Ensuring that the internal audit function operates in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is often required. Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Chartered Accountant (CA) are highly valued.

Must possess 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or Manufacturing industry.

Strong financial knowledge and understanding of accounting principles are necessary to evaluate financial statements, assess controls over financial reporting, and identify potential financial risks.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential for effectively managing the internal audit function.
