Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

Head of New Product Development will manage the full product development cycle, from initial concept to market launch for skincare, nutrition, books and educational product. This includes generating and overseeing all aspects of new product creation, from concept and design to claims and prototypes. Additionally, this role requires in-depth competitive analysis and consumer insights to guide product positioning and ensure Tentang Anak products meet evolving customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Conceptualization & Design: Lead the development of formulations and claims that align with Tentang Anak product purpose and consumer needs, while at the same time ensuring the product complies with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage project timelines, key milestones, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Prototype Development: Lead product development sample creation, ensuring each iteration meets quality, performance, and regulatory standards.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth competitive research to identify opportunities, differentiate Tentang Anak products, and inform positioning strategies.
  • Consumer Insights: Gather and analyze consumer insights to better understand market needs, preferences, and trends, ensuring new products resonate with Tentang Anak audience.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with external partners, including suppliers and regulatory bodies, to streamline approvals and production.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Brand, Sales, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs to ensure seamless product launch preparations.
  • Launch Readiness: Confirm all production, quality, regulatory, and marketing requirements are met to ensure products are ready to launch.

Requirements

  • Experience: 810 years in product development, project management, or a similar role, ideally in FMCG or personal care manufacturing
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams through complex product initiatives.
  • Competitive & Consumer Insight Skills: Strong capability to conduct competitive analysis and interpret consumer insights to drive product strategy.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in project management and analytical skills to refine product plans and manage budgets effectively.
