Responsibilities :
- Warmly greet guests as they enter the restaurant.
Manage the waiting list and seat guests in a timely and efficient manner, considering table availability and guest preferences.- Maintain awareness of table turnover and ensure the dining area is adequately prepared for incoming guests.
Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance and recommendations.- Manage restaurant reservations, including recording and confirming bookings via phone, email, or online platforms.
Maintain an accurate record of reservation details, special requests, and guest preferences.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless execution of reservations.
Provide guests with menus and assist them in making menu selections.- Offer recommendations based on guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and menu specials.
Knowledgeably answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Organize seating arrangements to optimize table occupancy while accommodating guest preferences and group sizes.
Coordinate with servers to ensure even distribution of guests across service areas.- Serve as a communication hub between guests and restaurant staff.
Relay guest requests, special instructions, and feedback to the appropriate team members.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding guest concerns or operational issues.
Keep the lobby area clean, organized, and visually appealing.- Monitor and replenish supplies such as menus, napkins, and utensils as needed.
Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the hostess station and surrounding areas.
- Assist in organizing and executing special events or promotions as directed by management.
Coordinate event logistics, such as seating arrangements, decorations, and special menu offerings.- Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain a smooth flow of operations.
Provide assistance to servers, bartenders, and other staff as needed during peak periods or busy shifts.
- Adhere to the restaurant's policies, procedures, and standards of service at all times.
Maintain confidentiality of guest information and internal communications.- Encourage guests to explore additional menu items, beverages, or promotions to enhance their dining experience.
Utilize upselling techniques to increase revenue and maximize guest satisfaction.
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth through training, feedback, and self-assessment.
