We are looking for a nimble and proactive HR Manager with a people-first mindset to grow and implement our HR processes while supporting our valuable team members. The ideal candidate has seasoned experience in end-to-end recruiting for corporate and retail teams and is committed to nurturing talent.
He/she is passionate about fostering employee relationships and well-being, adept at developing benefits, reward programs, and training initiatives, and can effortlessly connect with people to handle the dynamic nature of today's workforce.

This person will play a pivotal role in crafting innovative hiring strategies, developing robust retail HR processes and policies, and cultivating a vibrant company culture. You will work closely with store and corporate leaders to build and manage their teams, ensuring a deeply immersive experience in nurturing and sustaining our employee culture and indirectly influencing our customer satisfaction. You will report directly to the directorial team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment
- Lead corporate and retail recruitment efforts, managing the full-cycle process from sourcing to fulfillment effectively communicating our benefits and differentiator in hiring.
- Establish and conduct orientation and training programs for employees, including onboarding and ongoing training.
- Partner with managers and leaders to proactively shape talent priorities to align with our short-term and long-term business strategy and evolving needs.
- Develop an ongoing pipeline of potential candidates for retail stores, sharing best practices with leadership teams to support talent acquisition for new store openings (e.g., understanding the local retail market, developing a strong online network, and creating a training center).
People Operations
- Evaluate our people processes and recommend improvements focused on employee experience, automation, and scalability, including internal standard operating procedures.
- Foster a culture of camaraderie and collaboration through activities and programs, modeling and enforcing professionalism and respect.
- Establish corporate and retail organization structure with clear levels, roles, and responsibilities, ensuring job descriptions are up to date to align with the business vision and each division's needs.
- Establish policies, disciplinary procedures, and escalation practices. Resolve employee grievances and handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Draft employee-facing communications regularly, clearly communicating instructions, program background, and deadlines with a people-first approach. Respond to sensitive inquiries and cases promptly and in detail.
- Support departments in developing and delivering strategic HR plans aligned with the overall business direction.
Training and Compensations
- Coach and develop managers to be effective leaders by providing strategic and tactical HR support.
- Develop programs to optimize employee performance, including recognition and rewards programs.
- Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, performance rewards, health insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation.
- Create and update a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ of experience in human resources and employee recruitment, with strong experience in leading and inspiring a team.
- Experience in retail and consumer product environments in startup is strongly preferred.
- Ability to create a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Experience with both corporate and retail employees.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic mindset.
- Strong critical thinking abilities, with proactive problem solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to act with discretion and autonomy.
- Experience across multiple disciplines within HR including but not limited to recruiting, employee relations, performance management, training and facilitation, and benefits and compensation preferred.
