Responsibilities: Manage daily accounting tasks for both the gym and restaurant (2 different entities), including accounts payable & receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing (if applicable).
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements) for both entities on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Maintain a comprehensive general ledger system for each company, ensuring proper categorization and coding of all transactions.
Oversee inventory control for the restaurant and merchandise store, including ordering, purchasing, and cost calculations.
Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with all local and federal tax regulations for both businesses.
Work closely with management to develop and implement budgeting and forecasting models.
Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Maintain strong internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Stay up to date on relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff regarding financial matters.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within a multi-entity environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Journey, Xero, etc.).
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with payroll processing a plus.
