Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive annual audit plan, encompassing operational, financial, and compliance audits.
- Lead and manage a team of internal auditors, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize areas for audit focus.
- Plan, execute, and document internal audits in accordance with professional standards.
- Analyze audit findings, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the audit committee.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on outstanding issues.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a coordinated and efficient audit process.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in internal auditing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CIA, CPA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in internal auditing, ideally in the healthcare industry.
- Proven experience in leading and managing audit teams.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management principles, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex findings and recommendations.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required due to the international nature of the hospital's operations.
