We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Services Legal Officer to join our Clients team and provide expert legal support within our growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of financial services regulation, including compliance with local and international financial laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies related to financial services.
- Ensure the company's operations comply with applicable financial regulations and industry standards.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with financial transactions and corporate governance.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders on legal matters.
- Conduct legal research and provide updates on relevant financial laws and regulations.
- Support the development of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, compliance, and risk management, to provide comprehensive legal support.
- Assist with dispute resolution, including litigation and regulatory investigations, where necessary.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Law (S.H.) from an accredited institution. A Master's degree or professional certification in financial law is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a legal role within financial services, banking, or a related sector.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and legal frameworks
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
