Linux System Administrator

Responsibilities:

- Develop policies for managing system updates, prioritize upgrades based on risk, ensure their successful implementation, and maintain active security controls.

- Monitor system performance for reliability, conduct regular security checks for intrusions, and analyze trends based on monitoring tools.

- Create and maintain system documentation, provide patch compliance reports, submit regular vulnerability results, and keep accurate patch deployment records.

- Collaborate with IT and security teams to design new system architectures, address vulnerabilities, and provide technical support to end-users.

- Troubleshoot patch deployment issues and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

- integrate OS with surrounding apps (e.g Red Hat Satellite, etc)

- Create automation use cases to enhance sysadmin efficiency and effectiveness, and support integrating automation into other platforms.

- perform backup, migration, integration or switchover

Requirements and Qualifications:

- Minimum educationD3 / S1

- A bachelor's degree in computer science strongly preferred

- Proven experience in system administration or a similar role,

- emphasizing expertise in managing system updates and ensuring operational reliability.

- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.

- Familiar with virtualization and virtualization tools.

- familiar with monitoring tools.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Linux environment

- Understanding of IT security best practices and tools.

- Understand automation tools (e.g ansible automation, etc)

- Understand Uniz and Aix is a plus

- Understand SQL language is a plus
