Some of your duties will include:
Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing water resources on side-wide optimally and together with some related parties to develop projects and initiatives for water resilience and sustainability, in accordance with recognized international construction, environmental, and safety standards; while in meantime providing a high level technical supports to liaising with the government for groundwater, mine effluent, dam safety, and water resources management matters and supports user departments i.e., Process Plant, Mining, Environmental, Facilities & Services, and Power Business Unit
To lead the formulation and implementation of initiatives and programs in water resources development and management in line with company vision, mission, core values, and policies and work within general policies, principles, and goals, and working directly with user departments and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in mine safety, environmental and social protection, and to identify, mitigate, and manage environmental risk, negative impact, and long-term liability due to the water resources degradation issue.
To emphasizing the mine water management in a good governance at all the time, adequate to, and comply with the environmental quality standard as designated in KEPMEN LH No. 202/2004 and the dam safety in KEPMEN PUPR No. 27/PRT/M/2015.
To advise the corporate strategy to maintain the freshwater use and process water consumption in a good governance and in a good coordination between Mining, Process Plant, Environment, Facilities & Services, and Power Business Unit to have the most optimum water management ways on site wide project.
To collaborate with the government, consultant, or independent parties to provide water resources for running some major projects (i.e., mill expansion, power expansion, LNG project, etc.), doing research and development, get licenses, and have an operational sustainability in a good governance water resources point of view, and dam safety management.
To analyze and interpret data that impacts on strategic decision-making including water-consumer trends, projected water delivery targets, communicate with all key stakeholders on a range of water planning issues, undertake complex research assignments, reporting, and advising on risks for new major projects.
To advise management and major projects on how to meet current and future water demands.
To provide feasibility studies on a range of future planning and future proofing projects.
To assess the water resources and water quality implications of proposed water resource schemes and drought management measures in site wide and major projects.
To plan, develop, and manage water resources in terms of both water quantity and quality, across all water uses includes the reliability of infrastructure, utilities, distribution network, and water use effectively and efficiently.
To manage water supply and water risks to ensure sufficient quantity and quality to meet many competing demands, including potable water, sanitation water, construction water, and process water as well as energy production.
To plan, forecast, and identify the most effective and environmentally conscious methods of managing resources and maintaining equitable and cost-effective access to water.
To provide direction and lead coordination with the business process group regarding the initiative to obtain the new alternative water resources that environmentally friendly.
To provide gap analyses and assessment on the water resources management by developing some programs i.e., hydrological and hydrogeological surveys, aquifer testing, groundwater studies.
To develop plans and strategies to develop water resources availability and its adequacy to support site wide operation and all major project activities.
To act and participate as a company corporate vocal point to update and manage the ESG (environmental social governance) related to the water resources and wastewater management in site wide project.
To develop technical matters and projects i.e., scope of work, schedule, budget, owner cost estimation, technical and material specification, conceptual design, and engineering as required for bidding/tender, contract, and purchasing.
In conjunction with some collective technical departments i.e., Mining, Environmental, Project Development, and Process Plant to develop the Dam Safety Audit Protocol and regularly conduct an Integrated Dam Safety Inspection to be reported to Site Director.
To provide timely and professional services for all technical department, and provide technical assistance, review, and advice related to the water resources matters.
To manage contracts and contractors under his/her assignment in terms of the health, safety and environmental matters, scope, work progress, invoice, expenses, allocated budget, schedule, key performance indicator, and completion timely.
To emphasis and promote the business process group to implement 3R (reduce, reuse, and recycle) on water resources to increase added values and align with company's vision, mission, and core values.
To propose either capital expenses (CAPEX) or operating expenses (OPEX) for some initiative projects and contract to overcome all freshwater resources shortage issues.
To review, monitor, and accountable on contracts and project expenditures under his/her assignment.
To assist Senior Manager Project Development in obtaining the best price of material supplies and services and the best fit contractor/supplier/vendor by means of bidding/tender or direct award process.

What skills and experience do you need
Minimum Bachelor's degree in geological engineering, civil, and/or earth sciences.
Have minimum 20 years professional experiences on technical matters pertinent to the mining industry and water resources management, including relevant post-graduate experience, and at least 8 years experiences in managerial level in similar role as Manager/ Advisor - Water, Hydrogeology & Hydrology;
Has background experiences as Advisor/ Superintendent/ Sr Engineer Hydrology Hydrogeology and Compliance is preferable
Strong understanding and implementation on Water Resources Management, Geological and earth sciences, Hydrological and Hydrogeological concept, and water balance analysis especially in mining industry.
Strong understanding and implementation on water resources regulation i.e., groundwater provision, mine effluent, dams, and watershed management
Strong understanding and implementation on Environmental Management System.
Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.
