The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating staff and operations of production , warehouse, inventory, procurement and local suppliers to achieve timely production of quality products at the most economical cost and proper quantities. Develop and coordinate a work force capable of meeting the operating procedures to facilitate the timely delivery of final products as per local customer needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Plan and control the supply chain to meet local customer demands. Involving the processes of Planning, Purchasing, Production, Assembly, Receipt, Warehouse and Inspection.
Develop the strategic planning of the complete supply chain to balance and synchronization of the operational area and Sub contractors according to the available and projected backlog.
Develops and monitors operating procedures in order processing, inventory control, customer service, seal repair, assembly, etc. and personnel training.
Coordinate with intercompany colleagues and strive to achieve monthly forecasts, backlog management, and on-time delivery targets.
Coordination of the DAM (Daily Accountability Meeting) for review status, progress and decisions plan: Ethics, Security, Billing, On Time Delivery, Cycle Time, Inventories, Bad Quality Cost, Non-Conformities, Customer Order Entry, Load Factor, Purchase Orders and Work Orders with 1 to 5 days goal.
Analyses operations problems or deficiencies and initiates corrective action.
Design and control the annual investment plan in Operations area , Production, measuring equipment, building improvements, security and maintenance projects
Design and control the annual operating expenses plan that includes tools, maintenance, services, training, packaging, shipping, etc.
Carry out the definition, evaluation and control (KPIs) of the assigned personnel regarding to Smiths strategy.
Follow up and ensure compliance with the company's preventive maintenance programs including plant and equipment
Ensure that JC Indonesia complies to all local content requirements and other related to operations
Other duties as assigned
The Individual
Skills & Experience:
Degree in Engineering/Technology or similar
Manufacturing experience 3 to 5 years in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of mechanical seals is required
Must have solid proven supervisory experience to include supervising a diverse work force
Knowledge of integrated business and manufacturing systems operations involving MRP.
Strong Knowledge of Local regulations and statutory requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels in English
Good in computer skill especially in MS Office application
Outstanding organizational skills
Diligent with great attention to detail
Excellent communication skills in English and Local language
