Work closely with sales & marketing, suppliers, and relevant institutions to identify new product opportunities based on market needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the development of new paint colors with efficient processes and proven formulations.
Ensure high-quality colors that meet company requirements.
Manage research and development activities using latest technologies and best practices.
Support the Head of R&D in staying updated on the latest advancements in raw materials, color development, applications, equipment, and methodologies related to pigment and paste.
Champion a culture of scientific learning within the department.
Transfer knowledge and technology to R&D staff (timelines, goals, features).
Develop action plans to achieve R&D department goals set by the Head of R&D.
Ensure smooth production and resolve any issues arising during pigment paste and colorant production.
Drive project improvement initiatives within the department and/or across divisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (minimum).
Proven work experience in Research and Development in Building Material or Chemical industry.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Extensive knowledge of current trends in raw materials, color development, applications, equipment, and methodologies.
