About The Role
Sonder is delivering a component of the Australian Government's Play Our Way initiative which aims to promote equitable access and support grassroots initiatives to engage women and girls in sport and physical activity throughout their lives.
The Play Our Way Project Officer will lead projects, engage with stakeholders and complete audits and reviews of policies, procedures and practices at an organisational level.
Key Functions Of This Role Include
- Developing and sustaining partnerships with existing sport and physical activity clubs, centres and programs.
- Completing audit/review of policies, practices and systems which relate to the scope of the program both internally and externally.
- Completing activities which build skills and capability within sport and physical activity clubs, centres and programs and respond to the gaps identified.
- Working with a team of both internal Sonder and external sub-contracted professionals to organise and deliver sports and physical activity workshops.
Experience Requirements
- Experience working in the sports and physical activity sector.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects and events.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems and completing audit or reviews of policies, procedures and/or systems.
- Experience in the use of client management databases, Sharepoint, Microsoft applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience working with people with diverse needs, especially people from the program's priority cohorts.
Qualification And Other Requirements
- Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle. Travel to other locations (including country areas) is expected. Travel will be reimbursed.
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC).
- Some of out of hours work may be required.
