Key Responsibilities
Develop manufacturing procedures (including MPS, ITP, and MIS) in compliance with client specifications and relevant standards.
Create material purchase specifications and technical data requirements for piping, valves, and pressure vessels, aligning them with applicable product standards and customer demands.
Generate incoming material test certificates (MTC) from suppliers, either for purchased material by Cladtek or free-issue material to meet project specifications.
Prepare a Job Instruction Sheet (JIS) for production that aligns accurately with approved procedures.
Review manufacturing procedures (MPS or ITP) provided by suppliers to facilitate material production, and provide recommendations in case any issues arise.
Condense feedback from handwritten annotations, PDF markups, and email directives into comment sheets when necessary for submission.
Provide technical recommendations and advice to the project department.
Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis between customer or code requirements and Cladtek's capabilities or limitations.
Summarize and address customer comments related to manufacturing and inspection specification procedures.
Maintain accurate document revisions on the server to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Review bills of materials, project delivery lists, job instruction sheets, material requisitions, bending and heat treatment procedures, destructive test requests, and raw material Material Test Certificates (MTC) from either suppliers or customer-provided materials in the absence of a materials engineer.
Prepare laboratory requests based on customer specifications and standards and/or witness laboratory tests. Review resulting reports in the absence of a materials engineer.
Work closely with the welding and design teams within the technical department for tasks that demand their expertise or responsibility in addressing customer inquiries.
Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in any one or multiple areas of the following:
Thorough familiarity with industrial codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, DNV, etc., is a mandatory requirement.
Proficient in comprehending and interpreting ISO drawings, material data sheets, and Material Test Certificates (MTC).
Willing to be placed in Batam.
