The
Process Engineer provides subject matter expertise on local mineral processing for green and brownfield projects. In addition, improve existing processes supporting Operation Excellence programs. Finally, I aim to deliver projects with a focus on product and process quality, production lines, labour productivity, energy efficiency, safety, and environment.
The Role
As Process Engineer you will lead the process excellence across 3 sites in the Indonesian cluster.
- Drive Process Engineering projects in the cluster/site from idea to operational ramp-up (especially in electrical engineering).
- Provide input and suggestions to the local cluster management. Initiate ideas and set priorities together with the internal customer
- Support dust reduction and HS campaigns
- Define specifications and estimate process parameters to enable the most suitable Project Delivery Model
- Design new, innovative minerals and materials processes and adapt existing ones to improve efficiency, safety, sustainability and cost efficiency.
- Conduct technical and/or operational ad-hoc audits on specific need basis, in accordance with the Sibelco Process Audit Guidelines.
- Evaluate the minerals and materials processes and identify unnecessary complexities or flaws.
- Analyse technical equipment, quality/production data, operational data, etc.
- Lead and /or participate (hands-on) in activities related to the Operational Excellence (OpEX) program in the cluster. He /She leads research and develops new ideas or solutions that contribute to creating plants and systems in a cost-effective and efficient way.
- Act as a change agent of the OpEx cluster transformation
You will report directly to the Operations Manager
To be successful in the role of Manager M&A, you have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a Minerals Processing or Chemical industry.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles, including process design, process control, and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Good command of English and the local Bahasa.
