POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Assistant will provide coordination, and technical support for the implementation of the Renewable Energy Accelerated Transition (RE-ACT) project. To ensure smooth project execution, the Project Assistant will coordinate with the GGGI Indonesia energy program and liaise with relevant stakeholders at both the national and sub-national levels.
The Project Assistants responsibilities will focus on coordinating project activities, including organizing meetings, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and supporting event preparation. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support by liaising with technical Ministries and other stakeholders in the Renewable Energy sector. The Project Assistant will also contribute to data collection activities, including information gathering, data processing, and ensuring that technical information is accurately reported and disseminated.
PURPOSE
The primary role of the Project Assistant is to support the project team in coordinating and providing technical assistance for the timely delivery and consistent quality of outputs and activities under the Green Growth Program in Indonesia. The Project Assistant will ensure smooth project operations by facilitating effective coordination among stakeholders, supporting technical processes, and ensuring compliance with established institutional policies, standards, and donor requirements. This includes assisting in the coordination of project activities, technical reporting, data management, and stakeholder engagement to achieve the projects objectives.
ENGAGEMENT
The Project Assistant will work as a part of GGGIs Country Program and be based in Jakarta. Reporting to the Senior Officer Renewable Energy, he/she will work in close collaboration with the Project team.
The Project Assistant will conduct the following tasks, among others:
Coordinate closely with the Project team to ensure that all project activities are effectively aligned with GGGIs operational goals, standards, and policies, focusing on technical accuracy and consistency in project delivery.
Engage with relevant national stakeholders, including technical Ministries and private sector entities, to foster collaboration and ensure that project initiatives in the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency fields are well-coordinated and technically supported.
DELIVERY
Coordinate project operations by ensuring the effective delivery of tasks that support the overall project execution, including assisting the Project team with procurement processes, managing data, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
Organize and coordinate meetings and documentation, including preparing necessary materials and taking meeting notes, in close collaboration with the Project team.
Liaise with stakeholders in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors, maintaining and managing the stakeholder database to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Coordinate event preparation with the Project team, ensuring that all technical and logistical aspects are well-managed.
Support the drafting and review of communication materials and knowledge products related to the Project, in close collaboration with the Communications Team and the Project Team.
Conduct research on the technical aspects of the Project, including gathering information, processing data, drafting summaries of relevant regulatory frameworks, and identifying potential synergies and overlaps with other initiatives in the sector.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum Bachelors degree in sustainable development, economics, international relations, engineering, or political science is preferred.
Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience. Educational background in fields related to sustainable development and internship experience will be considered.
Experience in working with the government (national and subnational level) and non-government counterparts on a day-to-day basis in Indonesia is essential.
Experience working in a multi-cultural and international organization is preferred.
Experience in organizing events in a dynamic environment with a variety of stakeholders is highly preferred.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia for reporting and presentations are essential.
Willingness for occasional travels to selected provinces.
FUNCTIONAL
Experience in engaging with other government stakeholders to maintain relationships and build trust and identify potential alignment with the Project.
Experience in administrative processes necessary for project implementation.
Experience in research and analysis to support project implementation, with knowledge of quantitative methods as an asset.

Excellent multi-cultural literacy and interest in being a part of an international team working in an evolving and entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent communication (both written and oral) and facilitation skills.
