Job Summary:
The Project Cost Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial management of construction projects, ensuring cost control and budget management. This role includes tracking project expenses, analyzing cost variances, and providing financial forecasts. The Project Cost Controller will collaborate closely with project managers, procurement teams, and finance departments to maintain accurate financial records and ensure projects are completed within budget.
Cost Management:
- Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all project costs.- Identify, analyze, and report cost variances to project managers and stakeholders.
Budget Control:
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date cost control systems.
Prepare and submit regular financial reports to senior management.- Recommend cost-saving strategies and solutions to improve project financial performance.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct regular financial reviews and analyses for ongoing projects.
Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs, comparing actual expenses to budgeted projections.- Provide accurate cost-to-completion forecasts for projects.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, contracts, purchase orders, and project change orders.
Ensure timely preparation of financial reports, including cash flow projections and cost reports.Stakeholder Collaboration
: Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and finance departments to align financial strategies.
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights on cost control and budget performance.
Risk Management
:- Identify potential cost risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
Assist in the development of risk management plans related to project finances.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost control or financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of project cost control principles and best practices.- Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
