Job Description:
As the Project Manager for Import Products, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of importing products from international suppliers. You will collaborate with various teams, to ensure successful execution and delivery of import projects. Your goal will be to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve the efficiency of importing products while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Identifying potential products for import and managing the entire import process from start to finish, ensuring all deliverables are met within specified timelines and budgets.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential products that align with our business goals and target audience.
Identify and evaluate potential international suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and establish strong relationships.
Develop and implement import strategies and procedures to minimize risks, improve efficiency, and increase cost savings.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast and plan inventory needs, ensuring optimal stock levels and availability.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade policies, and quality control standards to minimize the risk of delays and product issues.
Monitor and track shipments, manage customs clearance processes, and handle any shipping or logistics-related issues.
Conduct regular performance assessments of suppliers, evaluating their reliability, quality, and overall performance.
Maintain accurate import documentation and records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and international trade policies to identify opportunities and potential risks.
Provide regular reports and updates to the management team on project progress, financial status, and any issues or concerns.
Build and maintain relationships: Identify and establish relationships with reliable and reputable (international and/ or local) principles, vendors, suppliers, and partners. Negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, payment terms, and shipping arrangements.
Requirements:
Proven experience in project management, supply chain, or business development of import/export products
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import documentation.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and motivate cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, think critically, and make informed decisions.
Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and ensure project success.
Fluent in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written
Experience in FMCG or F&B products will be a plus point
